This was the BEST experience !!!! We took a cruise and this was our excursion for the day. Papo was the first person we met in Amber Cove and he was very nice and informative. We were taken on a nice motor coach down to the beach. This is where we met Alex, Abel and Alan. These guys were so nice and funny they made us laugh right away. Sonia was also very nice and the bartender. All the information was given precisely on how the day was going to go. We had the best time snorkeling, eating, and drinking. To say the least we had a blast Alan, Papo, and Alex where the absolute best. They were like long lost family members. We want to go back just to see them. Alex and Papo had so much personality and Alan had great stories. We loved this Catamaran and will recommended it all our friends and family. Thank you for making our time in the Dominican Republic so awesome.

I just wanted to say my wife and I LOVED the catamaran trip. The staff was fantastic and looked after our every needs. The lunch we had onboard was VERY good. One of the snorkel guides (papo) ? went out of his way to take some underwater pics for me as I wasn't able to snorkel on this trip. He got some great pics. There was just enough ppl on board to make the trip comfortable. It was a great trip overall and will definitely be back again when we are in the area. Thanks again to the crew.

Alain is the minister of fun! He and the team are extremely professional, safety-conscious, and sea-worthy. This is not a small boat and you get to haul sails and ride the wind and waves! The snorkel sites were clear and lively. And lunch was delicious. Plus, there's booze. Don't hesitate to book if you like fun in the sun on a boat!

Fabulous crew and snorkeling. Give it a go! Beautiful sailing experience, especially when they turned off music so we could hear the wind and water!

We had a blast and the crew was amazing! We did some snorkeling, swimming, had a great lunch, and the crew was very helpful when I got a little sea sick.

It was so fun! The crew Alain and Alex and Sonja & the captain were a pleasure and we all had a great time. We went snorkeling and I was scared so Alex stayed with me the whole time and let me feed the fish. The food was great and they took great care of us with drinks and questions. The nets on the back of the catamaran were so cool where we could lay and see the water below. 10/10 would recommend.

Had the best time on the boat. The staff were great. Got a little sea sick and they did everything they could to help us. Best part of the whole day was that we got to see a whale. Highly recommend going on this tour. Thanks guys for the great memories.

Everyone was friendly, helpful and wise about what we were doing. The crew spoke numerous languages, which i found to be helpful for everyone on the boat. The hammock section was nice, hurt the body is laid on for too long (recommend bringing a towel to lay on). Had plenty of snorkel gear and made it enjoyable. Ocean waters were a bite wavy at the first location, they had green apples and gum for water sickness. Go early if you want a shaded spot on the boat. Went with family members, plenty of other ages on the boat as well. No one younger than 10 was on the boat via this day.

A group of seven of us did this. We were picked up at the resort in a nice air conditioned bus. The day was great two spots of snorkeling. Then the bar opened up and lunch was served. They then put up the sails and take you back to the other side of Puerto Plata to Ocean World. Great views with music and drinks flowing.

Highly recommend the snorkeling excursion. The guides are great. It’s awesome to watch Alex free dive. The crew was great too. We went to two snorkeling locations then had lunch and drinks while we sailed around enjoying the ocean breezes and the scenery. They are more safety conscious than other places we’ve snorkeled

Our coach trip to the beach enabled us to drive by local sights and get some history of the island. Friendly and professional crew. The sail back was wonderful as well. Be sure to sign up for this one!!

Great day on the catamaran. Plenty of room for everyone - the crew was professional but quite entertaining, and provided instructions in three languages. We enjoyed the two snorkeling spots and had fun feeding the fish with our guides. Open bar and lunch came after our second snorkel while we sailed down the spectacular coast.

Wir haben uns für die Halbtagestour entschieden, da uns hauptsächlich das Schnorcheln wichtig war, und unsere Tochter von dem Mittagessen, das bei der ganztägigen Tour inklusive war, vermutlich eh nichts gegessen hätte. ;-) Da wir die einzigen waren, die die Tour nach dem Schnorcheln beendeten, hatten wir einen separaten Transfer zurück zum Hotel. Die Organisation war perfekt. Wir wurden sogar gefragt, wann der Fahrer uns denn aus Sosua zurückfahren solle - wir hätten auch noch Zeit vor Ort auf eigene Faust verbringen können. Abholung vom Hotel war morgens pünktlich im klimatisierten Minibus. In Sosua netter Empfang durch das Team von Tip Top. Fahrt zum Katamaran vom Strand aus per Motorboot. Wahlweise ausreichend überdachte Sitzplätze im Schatten oder Sonnenplätze auf den Netzen über dem Wasser verfügbar. Ca 20 Min Fahrt zum ersten Schnorchelstop, dort ca 45 Min Schnorcheln mit sehr gutem, gepflegtem Equipment, wahlweise mit aufblasbarer Schnorchelweste. Unterwasserflora nicht spektakulär, Riff größtenteils abgestorben, aber Fischvielfalt größer & abwechslungsreicher wie gedacht (die Fische wurden jedoch angefüttert). Danach ca 15 Min Fahrt zum zweiten Stop, dort ca 30 Min Zeit zum Schnorcheln. Hier große Anzahl Seeigel zu beobachten. Das Meer war hier wohl etwas rauer und die Fahrt schaukeliger - man sollte also seefest sein! Für uns war die Halbtagestour perfekt! Organisation wie gesagt tip top und Crew super nett & lustig. Würde ich auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen!

Excellent day, beautiful weather and awesome crew! Food was like a picnic lunch but all was tasty. Reefs that we snorkeled on were small however the ride from Sosua to Confressi was amazing !!

Die Fahrt startet in Sosua am Strand. Wir wurden von Cabarete mit einem Bus dort hin gebracht. Das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich. Schon nach 15 Minuten Fahrt ist man schon am ersten Tauchpunkt. Das Wasser war tiefblau und klar. An den kleinen Steinriffen gab es wirklich viele bunte Fische die natürlich angefüttert werden. Und es sind viele Schnorchler un einen herum, das wird es schon sehr eng. Nach 30 Minuten gings zurück an Bord und schon nach 10 Minuten Fahrt war der 2.Tauchpunkt direkt vorm Sosuastrand erreicht. Diesen kann man aber auch schwimmend vom Strand erreichen. Wieder schönes Wasser und bunte Fische. Danach gab es ein kleines Mittagessen und auch alle Getränke sind includiert. Dann wurden die Segel gesetzt und nach Puerto Plata gefahren. Stimmungsmusik und kleine Show von der Crew mit Tanzeinlagen. Ein paar Drinks und es geht schon sehr lustig zu. Nach 2 Stunden Fahrt haben wir im OceanWorld angelegt und wurden mit den Bussen zurück gebracht.

Excellent day out on the water! Snorkeling was good, lunch was great, staff on board were great would do it again for sure!

My daughter and i booked this tour before we left home and we are so happy we did. The catamarran was a short ride from our hotel. Getting from the beach to the boat was effortless. Once on the boat there was enough room in the shade or sun whichever you preferred. The snorkeling was great with the guides helping attract the fish with some bread. I had never snorkeled before bit felt very safe in the water. The ride back was breathtakingly beautiful.

This was the most fun I have ever had on my travels to the DR and this has been my 3rd time. Right from the time we had gotten to the beach to the time we arrived back at the dock it was fun and the staff were friendly and awesome. Shout out goes to Alain, Alex, Captain Abel and of course the bar tender sorry but I can’t remember her name. The music was pumping the entire time, drinks were served after snorkeling and they served a nice light lunch that was very tasty. I very much liked how the staff got the passengers to help hoist the sails and they dressed in funny costumes and got the party crowd going. The only thing that I didn’t like was the shaded area.There are only 5 table setups with room for approximately 40 very small people or 30 average people. If it were all chairs or a bench setup then you could fit everybody inside but all in all that’s only a small detail that would definitely not derail me from ever going back because I will definitely be doing this tour again.

Omg what fun! Great crew great snorkeling, good lunch and excellent bar and music! Perfect day! Best to go with a group like we did to get a group rate! 16 of us!! Highly recommended for a fun day but if you are a prone to seasickness not for you! Wasn’t rough but a bit of motion and a few got sick! Good time!

This was our second time sailing with this Catamaran and we had a great trip once again. We are familiar with the Sosua Bay area but, the staff always gives us new information about the area and the creatures within it. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Whether you are there for the booze or the snorkeling, you seem to get great value either way. Neither interfere with the other and everyone has a great time. The snorkeling is Sosua is top notch and there are many amazing creatures around, some of which, the guide will let you touch, as long as you know how to handle them. We would definitely return for another trip. Thanks Alain for a great time and we will see you again soon.

We had a nice sunny day on the boat. There was an abundance of fish but as someone who has done a lot of snorkeling and diving in my life, the reef itself is very disappointing as is the variety of fish. If you can't compare it to anything else, it's a really fun experience. I'm just sad that we are loving our planet to death so the color is going out of the reefs. That has nothing to do with the enjoyment of the trip itself which was super fun with great staff, decent food, nice boat (especially liked lying on the front where you could see the water below you through the netting (have to be there early for that as only 24 total can be up there at a time) and beautiful scenery. If you are hoping to go for a sail though, don't expect much. They do put the sail up for a bit and then they do also turn off the motor for about 5 minutes so you get to experience the quiet, but most of the time you are traveling with the motor. We didn't drink but there was some fun music and dancing after the party started. Overall a wonderful trip.

Our group of 12 went on this Catamaran on Jan 28th. It was a beautiful day and we have a blast. the crew is awesome, they make sure you are having a great time. They were great in the water, they can do some cool things under water and take great pictures and videos with their camera. I would suggest paying for the USB stick. After the 2 stops to snorkel, the booze started flowing and the lunch came out. We had lunch meat, 4 different salads, chicken bites, fresh baguette and bananas. The rum punch is delicious!!!! if we come back to DR we will def use them again.

We took a (rather precarious) bus ride from our resort to where we boarded the boat in the bay. We were greeted by ALAIN, the first mate I guess is how you would describe him. He was fluent in French and English, funny, charismatic and overall very nice. When we first got on the boat, I did drop my sunglasses through the mesh on the boat, but not too worry, one of the wonderful staff on the boat were more than happy to jump in and retrieve them. They took us out to 2 different reefs where the snorkeling was great. They had experienced guys in the water to help anyone who wasn't completely comfortable. There was an abundance of fish, and the crew had food to draw even more in. I would suggest grabbing a few buns or bananas before leaving the resort to bring the fish to you. There was a photographer on the boat, but did not pressure you into buying his pictures or anything like that. It was very laid back and fun. SONIA and LEA were the bartenders on our boat. Talk about a fun duo. These two ladies made the experience even more enjoyable than I had imagined it could be. All in all, I would 100% recommend this excursion to anyone travelling in the area. We did not see dolphins around the boat, but did hear from a number of other guests that the dolphins were jumping around the boat when they were cruising.

We have snorkeled many times before, this is definitely a well organized and well oiled machine. These guys know how to please a crowd, know how to throw a good time (music and little macarena) and served alcool during the catamaran ride (after snorkelling of course). The snorkelling spots (2) each had 2 or three reef areas. The equipment supplied was well appropriate; palms, goggles (with nose) and tube along with floating (inflated or deflated) vest. The guides are very friendly and swim with you and show you some sea urchins, and other little creatures. They take good pictures and good video, one that we thought (althought slightly expensive for our taste (30-40$ usd if I recall correctly) was worth the price. I must thank the crew, they really made our time memorable; Allain and Alex especially and the rest of the crew. Likes and dislikes; -Liked the alcool; rum punch unlimited -Liked the entertainement (music and jokes from Alex) -Liked the informative tips from Allain (before and after snorkelling) -Disliked the longer bus ride back since we were 1h further than Sosua (ended in Puerto Plata) -Disliked Tiny Restroom Folks onboard varied from couples, to friends, to family with kids. I believe this is a perfect all around activity for all. And a great adventure for those who love snorkelling. But to visit the island and the culture it would probably be best to consider another excursions. If I were to go back, I would definitely consider going again.

Good day trip 2 snorkling spots and a cruise to Puerto Plata Open bar lunch was salads and cold cuts and buns vwry tasty. Fantastic crew helpful and fun. Great day out!!

Great excursion, worth the money, well organized and great crew. I have done this excursion twice within 6 months and would recommend this to anyone who enjoys snorkeling and being out on the water.

I went on trip with friends who were visiting from the US, the ambiance was a lot of fun, the catamarans is very spacious and comfortable. The team was very professional and knowledgeable. We had a great time snorkeling and felt very safe. A fun tour to do on the north coast.

It was an awesome experience! The staff are really professional and above all, really fun! I got to meet Richard, Alex and Alain...really cool, helpful and nice guys. The food and drinks were just great! I recommend this tour 250% 😊 My mom and I were really happy to have been able to spend the day doing such a cool activity! Go do it and have lots of fun!

Même après quelques sorties sur ce beau Catamaran, Richard est toujours aussi plaisant, la nourriture toujours aussi bonne et l'équipage aussi dévouée. Musique, danse, bouffe, apnée : c'est la sortie idéale. Papo, tes vidéos et tes photos sont toujours aussi plaisantes à regarder. A l'an prochain la gang.

We really enjoyed this catamaran which brought us to Sosua. Two stops for snorkeling and we enjoyed the cold buffet served on board the catamaran. Great staff and animation team.

This Crew is like my family. Its my second sail with them while I stayed in Cabarete. The taxis picks you up, drops you at Sosua beach for an amazing time. Two snorkel sites, drinks and lunch, then a nice sail to Corsefi. Eileen is amazing. My German friend is so hospitable. Alex is the wild man, the man who keeps the action going. Pable video tapes the whole trip. I highly recommend spending the day on the water with these guys;

This tour was such a great time. All the staff is knowledgeable and super nice and fun! A couple Short snorkelling which is all you need and an awesome sailing trip. A simple but perfect lunch! All the staff was amazing - especially the dancing chihuahua!! 😉

The food was fine, the hospitality excellent. The staff were very committed to making sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Great time snorkelling on a reef.

We had an amazing time from pick up to drop off. We were greeted by fun and friendly staff members (Eileen, Pappo and Allan-catamaran owner) and traveled in a very nice, air-conditioned bus to the catamaran. The bus trip was not too long and it gave us a chance to see the countryside away from the port. We also learned a lot about the lifestyle from Eileen as we traveled. A short trip down a few steps to the beach and a quick little boat ride over to the cat and we were on our way! We had juice and pineapple and snorkeled 2 different locations pretty close to the beach. Pappo had bread and we got to feed the fish....there were so many swimming all around us. Pappo (paparazzi) filmed the whole adventure. He's awesome! After snorkeling we had a nice lunch as we set out. Pasta salad, rice salad, cucumber salad, chicken, pork sliders, hard boiled eggs. It was just right for after snorkeling and being in the sun. We were never thirsty! Chihuahua kept us entertained dancing with everyone. He's awesome! Sit down and chat with Eileen. She speaks 5 languages and is quite adorable. We lounged about on the nets at the front of the cat and some at the tables by the captain and sailed the rest of the time. Sailing was just as awesome as the snorkeling. I may have even liked it better. A nice touch was sailing right back to the ship. We left on the bus around 8:30am and were back at port around 2pm. Great boat, great staff and great fun. I would recommend this trip!

Le catamaran tip top est génial! L'équipage à bord est super accueillant, souriant et met l'ambiance. Le bord de mer de Sosua avec ses superbes plages est encore plus beau vu du bateau. Le snorkeling : baignade avec masque tu a et palmes (fourni à bord) est superbe. Un guide vous accompagne dans l'eau pour aller à la découverte des îlots de coraux au milieu des bancs de sable qui fourmillent de poissons!!! A bord l'équipage vous sert à boire et le repas de midi...
